hello Martin,
I’m keen to join your cooking service as I’m also a blind person as is my husband Pete. We live in Melbourne.
The video about the chopping boards was very clear and strongly epmphasized the importance of high heigine in the kitchen – grin!!
I wasn’t successful in getting onto your recipes. I’m not a big techo person. I clicked on the pictures but nothing happened except the edges of the screen were blacked out.
It would be great if there was a bit more audio on the site.
Good for you with your initiative. There are many blind people most interested in cooking well. I’ll mention you to a little e-mail list I belong to – vipsinthekitchen. They’ll be most keen to learn about your work, if they haven’t already been in touch.
Begin a chef, you can rejoice in the fact that you’ve given great delight, nourishment and pleasure to many many people around the world. Congratulations Martin.
Pearl
Hi Pearl, Many thanks for your message. I am glad to hear that you enjoy my blog. I suggest that you subscribe to my blog (via your e-mail) so you will receive new recipes directly into your inbox. I assume that you are using a screen reader like ZOOM or other to read documents on the PC or other devices. I can as well send you my recipes (blog) directly to your e-mail address (in pdf format – which can be made audio). Indeed “cooking” becomes more accessible for blind and vision impaired people with todays technology. Cooking (preparing a meal for your family and friends) is much more than “cooking”. It is an essential part of our culture and well-being. Many thanks for your support and I am looking forward staying in contact with you.
Thank you. Martin
